It's 5pm Somewhere ...

A funny thing happened yesterday. I went to the 6:30am yoga class, which I've never done before, and it completely shifted my day. I was so energized and going about my morning when I realized that it was noon and I hadn't even thought about getting on the computer to post on my blog! And you know what? It was quite liberating. I had this strange satisfaction from disconnecting that I decided to skip yesterday's post altogether. Don't worry, I won't make it a habit. It was just a great feeling to pull away from the norm that can be so subconsciously monotonous at times. Even something I like, like blogging. So my lesson for the day was ... change is good and nothing is as urgent as simply living. I'm going to take this with me into the weekend.

Don't forget to change your clocks this Sunday! Remember, it's "spring forward," and "fall back." So we fall back an hour, which means you gain an extra hour of sleep on Monday. Yeah! Have a great weekend everyone! Group hug:)

Benches & Candy ...

LOVE the use of this Y bench and the great decorating going on all around it. I also like the mix of photographs with drawings and paintings. So much more personable and charming.

Recovering from halloween candy last night. I ate waaay too many Reese's Fast Breaks. I had no idea it was my favorite candy. Oh, and happy #1 day! It's 11/1/11. How did that happen so quickly?

Happy Halloween! ...

Happy halloween everyone! And Christmas music eve! That's right, usually our holiday music starts after Thanksgiving but I've decided that it will start the day after halloween this year. Who's with me? I know Jenika is:) Okay, back to halloween ... who's got an office party today? That's one thing I miss about working in an office. Today is when you get to see shy Suzy from accounting arrive to work as a spot on Kat Von D. If you're in costume today you must share! Have fun everyone!

How boss are these Louboutin's?! I keep thinking how funny it would be to walk into a PTA meeting in these. While most of you think parties, I think PTA. What does this mean?

Any fun plans this last weekend of October? Tonight we have a halloween event at P's school complete with haunted house. She hasn't decided if she wants to be Spiderman again, or wear her new Little Mermaid costume. She's hinted that it could be a fusion of both ... I'm just gonna go with it. Tuesday's With Orla ...

Weekstart ...

Ever wonder why we don't call it the "weekstart," since we have a "weekend?" Probably not, as I'm sure you've better things to wonder about as you get ready for another week. Did you have a good weekend? We had a pretty fun one. On Saturday we visited our old neighborhood in San Diego. It was so great to catch up with our old neighbors. Remember how awesome they were? On Sunday our whole family went up to LA for breakfast at The Pantry. It was so good, I recommend if you're ever in the area. And we fiiiinally saw Bridesmaids! Did anyone notice how very Sixteen Candles it was at the end? It was just like when Jake was waiting outside for Samantha after the wedding. I loved it.
