Max Wanger ...

Just a couple of my favorite pics from Max Wanger's print shop. Hot tip* He's having a Black Friday sale with 15% off and free shipping with code "GOBBLE" at checkout. 'Tis after all, the season of giving!

Faribault x West Elm ...

Was happy to learn recently that West Elm has joined forces with American heritage company Faribault Woolen Mill Company to produce a collection of pure wool blankets and pillows. Faribault has been one of the only domestic wool producers in the country for 147 years. Thus, producing amazingly beautiful wool blankets, throws, pillows, and accessories. Check out the entire Faribault for West Elm collection here.

Man Style: Frank Muytjens ...

Been a long time fan of Frank Muytjens, the super stylish director of J.Crew menswear. So I was kind of excited to see these pics from Elle Decor and how the master of man style lives outside of work. These are a little sneak peak of his place in upstate New York. It's no surprise that his mix of decor is so spot on. And somehow that open format closet (upper right) is beckoning to me. See the rest and read the article here

Happy Place ...

Happy Monday! Was doing some leisurely flipping through the new Lonny yesterday and I ran across these images from the home of Chance founder, Julia Leach (p. 71).

Drapes & Blue Couches ...

Two things that have been on my mind lately ... dramatic drapes and blue couches. I'm usually a wooden blinds or shutters type of person but drapes are definitely leaving a different impression on me now. I especially love these floor to ceiling ones.
Now I've always known that I would love to have a blue couch someday, but it has to be the right one. And this one here is pretty perfect. I think it's because I usually go the way of neutrals for my big pieces. The perfect shade of blue would be great amongst so much neutral–as seen here in this pic. What about you? Would you consider something like a blue couch?

Benches & Candy ...

LOVE the use of this Y bench and the great decorating going on all around it. I also like the mix of photographs with drawings and paintings. So much more personable and charming.

Recovering from halloween candy last night. I ate waaay too many Reese's Fast Breaks. I had no idea it was my favorite candy. Oh, and happy #1 day! It's 11/1/11. How did that happen so quickly?

Home Style ...

Was flipping through the current issue of C magazine last weekend and I really took a liking to Jacqui Getty's Hollywood home. The natural lighting coming from the bedroom ceiling (skylight? lighting?) is amazing. Such a great filter to walk into. The lamps, that throw at the foot of the bed, all so great.
The left image is her bedroom sitting area. I thought it was interesting that the monkey drawing was a gift from skater Mark Gonzales. Love the cane chair and settee. And I'm a huge fan of a picture wall (right image) complete with tear outs and family photos. See Sofia and Thomas in the bottom photo there?

Come Over To My Houzz ...

So have you guys heard of Houzz? It's the online equivalent of cutting and tearing out home and idea photos from your magazines and organizing them in your inspiration file–the amount of inspiration on their site really is nuts. Seeing as I clip and save all the time, I was excited when the team over at Houzz asked me to contribute my finds and incorporate them into an ideabook each month for you to check out. You'll find my first ideabook here and each month from here on out over in the middle column there. Be sure and let me know what you think!

Did I just give you something to lose track of time with this Monday morning? You're welcome;) Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Large & Small ...

Still love the idea of a bold wallpaper print in a small space like a powder room. I'm not really a pet person (we can still be friends, right?) but I do like the dog motif that blogger/interior designer Bailey McCarthy has going on here. Crafty photography (notice she's not in the mirror. Where is she?) by Emily Anderson and styling by Alaina Kaczmarski for Rue magazine.

At Home With Karen Walker ...

I really like the easy, breezy style of designer Karen Walker's home in Auckland, New Zealand shot by The Selby. I think the dining room might be my fave, but the sitting room with the scattered photos all over the walls is a close second. Check out more photos of this great house here.

Natural House ...

And a good morning it would be waking up in this Andersson•Wise built home every morning. Isn't it beautiful? I love their philosophy, "... our work seeks to reinforce both the physical and emotional connections already established in a locale ..." Naturally.

Room For All ...

I'm loving the feel of this toddler room. It doesn't scream "kids," yet it's quite obvious what it is. I like the idea of making kid's rooms an extension of the house without, of course, depriving them of their kid "stuff." I was not one to go crazy with the total baby/kid theme in the bedrooms or playroom. And I'm loving that daybed, that print is so great. I also really like how they laid out their photo wall. As some of you remember, I'm currently putting mine together that is slowly but surely coming along. I will share photos soon, I promise!

It's Written On The Wall ...

Loving these fun and inspirational prints from Therese Sennerholt Design. Great looking reminders to have around the house, don't you think? The styling going on in these shots is pretty great too.

Missoni DIY ...

The Missoni fabric sale going on over at Gilt Groupe makes me want to sharpen my DIY skills and make some Missoni pillows like the one's here on Rachel Zoe's bed. How great are these fabric samples?

Neutral Inspiration ...

I wouldn't change a thing. Even though this bathroom is so very neutral, all of the elements keep it interesting. Those marble walls, the fun flooring design, those tall mirrors with the rounded edges! Even the cabinets have a unique brownish-gray hue to them. It's all so perfect, right down to the pink flowers. This one's going into my bathroom inspiration file pronto.

Summer In January ...

It's hard to believe that just this week there was documented snow in 49 out of the 50 states in the U.S. I say this because, even though we were one of the states with snow, it's actually very summer-like today in Southern California. Temperatures are supposed to reach 79 degrees today! In the middle of January! Which brings me to my late post today (sorry). I've been out and about already this morning with the sunroof open, music blaring and hair flying with wild, teenage abandon. It's funny what the sun and a little vitamin D will do to you. I even visited an estate sale that my mom tipped me on (thanks mom!) that had incredible mid-century furniture and this awesome woven, wood drum stool that I've seen for well over $100, for a mere $35–I bought it! Happy, happy, joy, joy:) So now of course I'm totally inspired to create the cutest vignette around it as fun and colorful as this one pictured.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Can't wait to watch the GG's and the red carpet! Group hug:)

Project Frame Wall ...

So my frame wall project ... it's coming along nicely. The goal is to incorporate family photos with the kid's artwork and other artworks–much like this Lonny spread above. I love it! I just got a lobster and a camel framed compliments of my 4-year-old and the blow-ups of family photos are trickling in. I'm pretty excited! But then when I didn't think I could get any more excited Katie posted about these and I had a serendipitous moment of feeling like everything was coming full circle. These pretty Kate Spade prints (so happy one of them is a Caitlin McGauley) will be gracing the frame wall as well. Can't wait to show you pics when it's done.

Instant Glitz ...

In honor of holiday parties everywhere I give you Samantha Boardman's in-home bar. With as much (or little, depending on who you ask) entertaining as we've been doing lately I keep thinking how much I want a bar cart at home. We're not even big drinkers, but I just think they add instant glamour and fun. And if you like Ms. Boardman's bar here, you should see the rest of her house. Ahhh-mazing!

Hope everyone had a great week and be safe if you're partying it up this weekend! Group hug:)

Vintage Tables Score! ...

Can I please tell you about my huge score last weekend? I was perusing The Vintage Collective in Long Beach when I spotted these marble-like tables out of the corner of my eye. The price tag said $350 for the pair, but they had just been marked down to $150 for the pair! I have them put together as one here, but I love how I can easily separate them and use them as side tables or in different rooms later on.

To me this was a deal considering all the tables I had denied in the last 12 or so months. They're super sturdy and in pristine condition. Now, I know there are a lot of pro thrifters out there so please feel free to tell me if this qualifies as a "score" in your world–I'm curious. But I do love them so, so much. It's like they're winking at me every time I walk by. Oh and as you can see, my Happy Stripe FLOR tiles came in. Loving them too:)

Love This Layout ...

Yep, no problem. I can definitely work, cook, hang out, entertain and give time-outs in this kitchen that I found in the launch issue of Australian online home magazine, Adore. Those bifold doors are amazing. I like how they're a sitting room away from the kitchen so it doesn't seem like the outdoors are in your face while you're cooking. And I really do like the use of a mirror behind the stove since there is no window. Helps eliminate the "cooking in a cave" feeling. And the sitting room! Love the blue chairs, lucite tables and cognac couch against the black floors ... perfection.
