I love behind-the-scenes shots. There's just something perfectly off-kilter and fun about them. I really like this behind-the-scenes shot that Amanda Pearl tweeted from a photo shoot last week. The model looks like she's having so much fun and I love the natural energy surrounding the necklace.

Pattern Play ...

Don't these beautifully colored mosaic pieces by artist Astrid Eijkelenboom look neat? Right away they looked like cubes of lipstick, then I decided colored ice cubes. Until I finally settled on colored gum erasers. I love gum erasers–don't know why. And colored one's would be so cool.

It's been a while since I've been inspired to wear a twinset. But the way this one is styled with worn jeans did it for me. It's nice and simple. And with these added pieces it's my perfect, no fuss outfit. I think I'm finally excited for fall to arrive.

Just a reminder that I can probably stand to go a little more dramatic in the eyelash department (although, not too far). Plus, those oversized sunnies, nude lip, and sleek hair make for such a wonderfully, classic look. Love it!

Monday With Jenna ...

It's 5pm Somewhere ...

Kinda glad it's Friday. Been decompressing since my final and trying to get back into the swing of things. This would include being more consistent with the fun links that usually accompany these Friday posts. Please forgive. Even though this week's been kind of cuckoo, I have been spending every morning at the beach this week at P's beach camp. It's a precursor to surf camp to get kids under 5 acquainted with the ocean and is the cutest thing to watch a 4 yr. old partake in. Especially when she puts on her teeny wetsuit and hangs out with the surf dudes. And if you get my tweets you know that she learned how to duck dive earlier this week! No fear that little one!

Happy Feet ...

Have you heard of the Swedish company Happy Socks? I love the fun spin they've put on socks and tights ... "a simple and often overlooked product." As much as I'm trying to squeeze out every last bit of summer, I can't help getting into the fall mood when I see cute, cozy socks like these. And at first I wasn't sure about these tights. They're super fun, but not sure how wearable they were until I saw the Happy Socks look book. A bit daring, but they actually look cute with this dress. What do you think?

Mission Accomplished ...

So remember that graphic design course I told you I was finally taking back in June? Well, last night was my final class at Art Center in Pasadena. Everything came full circle once I presented my 22 page workbook final and realized that was it. I did it. I accomplished something that I had only daydreamed about before and it felt really great. Not gonna lie though, it was tough sometimes getting through the grueling workload. Especially being a SAHM of two little ones that constantly need your attention while you're trying to get graphically inspired. But I did it, and it was so worth it. I learned so much about the creative process from my instructor who happens to be a principal graphic designer over at Walt Disney Imagineering. The wealth of knowledge I consumed over the course of the past 8 weeks is something that I feel so blessed to have experienced. Especially because taking this course was a first step in getting back to "me."
