Cozy Cuteness ...

One of the first signs of fall around our house is when I break out the blankets. I get giddy about it. So naturally I got excited when I spotted these Cross Blankets over on SwissMiss. They have such great graphic detail for sprucing up any bed, or perfect for just cuddling up on the couch with. And did I mention they're made from 100% organic cotton? Bonus!

And to add to my fall giddiness I also found these amazing wool slippers while perusing the Pia Wallén site. How cute are these and the color options? Cozy is looking cuter and cuter you guys.

P.S. They have these slippers for babies too ... stop. it. right. now.

Garance Doré's New Hair ...

Perhaps you've seen this already, but I couldn't help myself from sharing it here this fine Monday morning. Garance Doré's new short haircut is the cutest thing I've seen in a while! It is a-m-a-z-i-n-g! And what a transformation. I thought she looked great already, but love her look even more now. It suits you Garance!

And now cue millions of girls everywhere asking, "should I cut my hair?" Happy Monday everyone!

Monday Pretties (and Handsomes) ...

Ever the perfect capturist (is that even a word?) Tommy Ton's photos are always such a great source of inspiration. They never cease to amaze me. Here are some faves as of late. How much do I love this blue dress?
Wanna know a secret? I think salt and pepper hair looks great on guys. Anyone else? Bueller? Regardless, these two have great style. P.S. I'm jealous of that houndstooth jacket.
I've been donning my cap all summer at the beach so when I saw this I got excited. Although she takes it to a more dressed up level. Not sure I can pull this off, but she sure does.
The Mercedes looks like Olivia's accessory. Gorge as always. That dress gives fresh meaning to the LBD. So cute!

Have a fabulous Monday everyone!

A One, Two, Three Punch ...

Polka dots, stripes and a wrist of gold. It never gets old.

Asymmetrical Awesomeness ...

Been obsessing over this perfectly asymmetrical cut lately. I know I'd get tired of that longer side after a while, but still. Could you? See more great angles of this radical hairdo here.

Guerilla, Style ...

Absolutely loving this guerilla style presentation that Warby Parker did yesterday at the New York Public Library! They presented their 2012 collection by having models and friends slowly take over the main reading room and reveal book covers with the names of their frame styles. Something like this must've been so fun and refreshing for editors to attend. Bravo Warby Parker, bravo! Read more about the fun here.

Pieced Out ...

Individually, these pieces would be so hard to picture together and thus, pull off such a great outfit. Enter Joanna Hillman, Sr. Fashion Market Editor for Harper's, who always manages to do just that. A walking inspiration always. Plus, I'm liking the side braid.

Al & Deb ...

Really love this photo of Alison Goldfrapp and Debbie Harry taken for Spin magazine's April 2010 issue. Both look so great, especially Debbie who is 65 in this photo! And both are wearing two of my favorite things ... a slightly less conventional sweatshirt and stripes.

Good article from that issue too.

Shorn ...

So cute. Reminds me of how much I like short hair. Hard to believe mine actually used to be this short and now it's to the middle of my back. Not sure if I'll ever cut it this short again, but it's fun to think about.

Bob & Freckles ...

I know, sounds like the name of a bar or something. But really, how cute is she with her bob and freckles?

Smart Look ...

I'm not totally in love with the shredded outer layer of her dress, but everything else I am. Especially her pink lipstick against the chartreuse part of the dress. And her librarian glasses and updo seal her smart look. Love.

Blackout ...

I don't. I haven't. But if I did, this would be it. I think a supershero could be built around this thing. You have to admit, it's beautiful. It's a step or two away from my usual "beautiful" posts. But this has style just the same.

If you were a supershero what would your choice of transportation be?

Like Mother, Like Daughter ...

Love, love, love these images from Inès de la Fressange's book Parisian Chic: A Style Guide. Her daughter Nine, pictured left, is every bit as beautiful and stylish as she is. Not only is Inès a great sounding board for style, but she's also a great sounding board for aging gracefully. At 54 she just walked in the spring '11 Chanel show for crying out loud. If that's not inspiring for women, I don't know what is.

Pretty, Punk ...

Had to post this one for Eric. He's a Descendents fan. And I'm a fan of girls who can look this good with disheveled hair and oversized, large cut-out t-shirts.

The Pixies ...

I think Emma Watson looks adorable with her new pixie cut. It immediately reminded me of Ms. Farrow's popular pixie. A great ode to Mia and a great look on Emma. Applause all around.

Cute & Cozy Stripes ...

Cute photo of Noot. Cute pajama bottoms for me. This could easily be my bedtime uniform. Sans the cowboy hat of course.

Their 30th Date ...

British Vogue's new September cover.

My personal favorite Kate Moss/British Vogue cover.

Landing the cover of a major fashion publication is a dream come true for any model. But landing the cover of British Vogue 30 times is clearly another. British Vogue and the ambiguous Kate Moss celebrate their 30th date together with the upcoming September issue. Incredible, right? The bottom blue cover has to be one of my favorites. The colors are just so striking.

The Golden Pop ...

I would love to wake up to this every morning.

Good morning! I love it when someone suggests a friendship via Facebook with someone who happens to be the very talented interior designer Barclay Fryery (thanks Maria)! I totally fell in love with these photos of this home I found on his FB page (don't worry, I got permission to post;) . It's clear that gold reigns supreme here. It's just the added pop these rooms needed against a fair palette and beautiful, black, shiny floors. Honestly one of my fave combo's when it comes to interiors. Makes everything look so fresh, clean and inviting.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Ours was very busy, hence the no weekend in review this morning. But fun things are happening that I will be able to share as the week progresses. Let's just say things are crazy. Crazy good:)

Take A Chance ...

All I could think when I saw new brand Chance on Kate's awesome blog { wit + delight } was "yes!" A new brand that has it all ... great site, great pieces (stripes!), great aesthetic, great message and best of all personality! The photography by the talented Susanna Howe captures all of this so well. I love when it all comes together for a new brand.
