I like this idea of making a great piece of art the focal point of the room. And I'll bet each time you'd sit in one of those awesome chairs you'd see something different in that painting every time. Although I do worry about the direct sun hitting it like that.Photo: Ngoc Minh Ngo

Oh yes, you are correct, no direct sun on paintings ever! But the room is divine.
The direct sun is making me nervous as well.
I fully support the replacement, especially if it was changed every day. There are some days I wonder what life without television would be...how much more time would I have?

OK, I had to return to this post today... I decided that I don't care for the painting put up in this fashion. I really like the furniture and the space as a whole, but this feels a bit too cramped with the painting right there. I might be thinking too much, but I am somewhat reminded of school with the lesson being "stair at the board ahead." Or perhaps, I am just getting thrown off by that too tall candle holder (or whatever that piece is on the coffee table). It is totally obstructing the view for the people who'd be sitting in those awesome chairs.
I love the tree and the pot it is in. The walls of window are fabulous. :)
