I wore a tie to work once and I remember having this feeling of a certain authority. Much like she looks here. Maybe it was the authoritative feeling of making a different choice. Kind of like deciding to wear a tie to work that day.

I admire you so much for wearing the tie! I think that's so awesome and could totally imagine the feeling of awesomeness as you told people what to do in it.
I love the feeling of power that comes from owning a look that is definied as masculine.
I tie my Hermes scarf like a tie and wear it with a white button-down but inside the collar... it is one of my favorite looks! Sexy while still being incredibly feminine.
I used to wear ties when I was a teen, not very French or classy but more on the punk side because I used to skate, Oh my! why am I not embarrassed?
LOVE this photos!
I love when girls wear ties - there's something so sexy about it, it exudes confidence and power. I have yet to find an opportunity to wear one, but I find it so cool that you did! :)
love it... very annie hall! diane keaton had such a dreamboat style in the 70s
I had to wear one when working in restaurants... not sexy at all. Usually, I had to wear a mens shirt (too large and frumpy) and a thick men's tie. Boo. :(
However, I really like the thinner ties, and I love the 2nd pic here showing her wearing her shirt and tie paired with the jean shorts. Very cute.
Oh wearing a tie is on the top of my list for fall!!!
Such a great look!
BTW - love your blog, you have a great eye! I read it daily all the way over here in Ireland...
I really like that ties have made a comeback for women. Though I fear if I were to wear one, it would just bring me back to those days when I was much younger in the 90s and wore ties, and that could be odd.
Your style is amazing and yet looks so effortless. I love the tie, its perfect.
GREAT LOOK!!!!!! Come check out my blog, my sister and I played dress up!
