You Just Never Know ...

This is about how long my hair was when I decided to donate it to Locks of Love. I remember going to the post office to send it off and the postal worker engaged me in light conversation about hair donation in which some people in line heard. So as I was leaving a woman came up to me, looked at me and said "thank you." After I realized I did not know her, I could see she was fighting cancer. So there I was busy being excited that I was going to help someone faraway without realizing that I would inadvertently also make someone else smile in my own backyard. I guess you just never know who you will affect and how many people you might affect. It felt really good.

I dis this to my daughters hair= cut off her pony tail. Crazy!! she is 9. Don't want to be a buzz kill but this being a public forum word is lock of love is not the best org. and has some shady purchases on it's books. Panteen either makes wigs or if they can not use the hair donates the money for one. $.02.

That is so great. I am currently in the process of growing my hair out so that I can do the same thing. What a wonderful gift!
