Oh Natalie, Oh Lanvin! ...

At first I couldn't tell the length of the dress, but here you see it's long. Beautiful.

Big thanks to Coco+Kelley for pointing out the new Marie Claire cover (Jan. '10) with Natalie Portman! This photo is the perfect reminder of why I love fashion (and Natalie). The dress is from the Lanvin Spring '10 collection and I'm in love with it. The matte navy w/the perfect red punch of the flower is simple but makes just the right statement. And then you put someone like Natalie Portman in it and it's perfection. Her hair color too just ties in the gray background to it all, don't you think?

Did I mention I want this dress? I might actually need it :)

P.S. Sorry no post yesterday. Was feeling under the weather but am golden today :)

Amazing! I've been drooling over this dress since the magazine arrived in my mailbox. Last winter while in line for the movies in Manhattan I commented to John how I loved the coat on the girl in front of us. Well, turns out it was Natalie Portman. She was so classic and chic in person---not wearing a stitch of make-up, just gorgeous, understated loveliness. I adore her! Anyway, you're definitely my style soul mate. I adore Jenna Lyons (what she's done with JCREW is sheer genius) and as for Kelly Wearstler, well, I want ALL of her houses. So happy we found one another's blogs!!

P.S. We can't wait to start Season 2 of Mad Men!

I was excited when I got this issue in the mail because she is so cute. I caught my husband "reading the article" on Saturday. Oh well, at least it wasn't Playboy.
