SNL + ZG = LOL!

Physique and style of champions.

Zach Galifianakis is my new favorite person I've never met before. We finally got around to watching our DVR'd episode of "SNL" last night and hands down, Zach's monologue was the best we've ever seen! It was so funny, you forget that you're watching "SNL" and want him to keep going. If you missed it, do yourself a favor and watch it here on Funny or Die. The best is when he mistakenly (and excitedly) introduces Hoobastank as the band for the night instead of Vampire Weekend.

Dolls? Really? ...

"Mad Men" dolls Joan, Roger, Don, and Betty. The ladies look like aliens, Roger looks like Elaine's boss on "Seinfeld," and Don looks like a young Marlon Brando.

At first I thought, oh good for them. But then picturing little girls playing with these dolls suddenly seemed weird. "Mad Men" is synonymous with adultery, alcohol and insecurities. Great adult drama entertainment, not so great kids toy. I want to know who high-fived the person in the Mattel marketing meeting who thought it would be brilliant to create new dolls based on "Mad Men" characters. Really? I'm a huge "Mad Men" fan, but dolls? Alright, but here's the ironic thing. At first glance the only recognizable doll is Joan mainly because of her red hair and particular outfit. However, her body seems to be the same size as Betty's which is so not the case. Joanie is voluptuous! So far no accessories have been created but something tells me that mini bar carts, packs of smokes and a Barbie dream office are in the works. I'm filing this one under "still don't get it." What do you think?

Red Ambition ...

Wow, right?

I honestly used to think, in order to be more 'sexy,' that they enhanced Christina Hendricks' body for her role in Mad Men. So not the case. Christina is au naturel and is broadening Hollywood (and fan) perspective on talent and beauty. I for one, am for it. Read her great interview here.

P.S. Don't you love her red hair?

Kell on Earth ...

So I'm thinking I will be watching the premiere of "Kell on Earth" tonight (or at least record it to DVR). Wasn't sure at first but I think it will be interesting to get an inside peek at this side of the fashion world. She's tough as nails and has a mean streak but it will be interesting to see what makes Kelly herself and her company People's Revolution tick. Plus, she's a mom. Did you know that? There's something about children that make seemingly harsh people human again. Plus, I'm sure there will be great fashion to see. What do you think?

Two Of My Favorite People ...

Can you say voluptuous?

Christina Hendricks, aka "Red," aka "The Office Manager" wore Christian "I'm kind of a big deal" Siriano to the Globes. I love that! Not my favorite dress, but she is still stunning. Maybe she needed an up-do?

Okay, I'm off to finally watch the DVR'd fun now!

Golden Globes Eve ...

Great ensemble.

You know what this means, right? Right now, somewhere in L.A. Rachel is stressing out big time, Brad is crying, Taylor is pissed, and Rodger is wondering when he'll finally get to spend some alone time with Rachel. Cannot wait for Season 3!

Make It Work ...

I heart Tim Gunn.

I admit I lost track with the Project Runway Bravo to Lifetime switch, but I will give season 7 a shot tonight. How awesome is Tim Gunn? Remember when Santino did the perfect impression of him? Hilarious. He was such a good sport about it. Hopefully there's another Christian Siriano ... at first I did not like him, but then he had me at "I'm kind of a novelty, and I'm kind of a big deal." And hello, his designs were great. Will you watch tonight?

And The Winner Is ...

Dapper Draper. Don't know whether to love you or hate you.

Peggy, naive and slick.

The "office manager."

I'm not going to lie, Eric and I were a bit late to the "Mad Men" game but we've been getting caught up via Netflix and cannot wait for Season 4! In the meantime, here are some fashion cues from "Mad Men" as we wait to see if they win any of their Globes nominations this Sunday. Crossing my fingers ...
