It's 5pm Somewhere ...

So, as much as I try to always keep this blog full of fun, inspiration and happiness I have to be honest today and share with you the fact that the last couple of weeks have been a bit rough. From losing a long time friend two weeks ago, to another friend's mom being in ICU, to the awful tragedy in Seal Beach just a couple of days ago. Seal Beach is just minutes from where we live and from where I grew up. Everywhere we go, the grocery store, post office, Starbucks, everyone's talking about it. It's hard. But even harder to fathom that life goes on. But it does. Inch by inch, day by day. So as each new day introduces itself I've just been focusing on the blessings that surround us constantly and say a prayer of strength, and peace of mind for the families and friends of the victims. Life is unpredictable yes, but life is still good.

Thanks for hearing me out. I really do hope everyone has a great weekend. It might seem minuscule, but I am so thankful I have this blog and my favorite blogs to read. Blogs definitely keep you positive and are a reminder of what is good, fun and inspiring. And that's important in life! Group hug:) Here are some fun links for you ...

Oh, H, I'm thinking of you.
It's definitely a strange world we live in when a man can walk into an establishment and shoot up innocent people. It's beyond...
Group hug, indeed!

Our family lost two close friends in the Seal Beach shooting so i know how hard it is and what a shock to our community this has been. It's a tragedy but we have to remember to keep their memories alive and to celebrate their lives and not let their deaths overshadow what bright lives these women and men had.
