Wow, this week's been "one of those weeks." I had to remind myself countless times to throw my shoulders back, stand up straight and look focused. Don't judge, but I'm lagging super hard on unpacking what my friend Stephanie coined perfectly as "the non-essentials." Boxes of "non-essentials" still greet me daily in several rooms. Plus, it was Eric's birthday on Monday and P's birthday on Tuesday–happy birthday Babes! And now I'm trying to put the finishing touches on P's halloween themed birthday party with family tomorrow.
You should've seen me yesterday wandering around the hot-as-coals Target parking lot with two kids in tow, searching like mad for a dang double-seater cart! I think I walked a circular mile. Have you seen those things? So obnoxious, but so useful. Plus, I can maneuver the thing now without taking out end caps. Oh yeah, when I was in the halloween section I bumped into the Christmas section. What day is it anyway?
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Group hug:)

The Christmas section? Seriously? They didn't even try to create some sort of transition with a Thanksgiving section? That's just frightening. As for your unpacking, I almost want to tell you to leave the non-essentials until you need them and if you find you don't need something in a year, then to give it away or sell it. But then you'd constantly have boxes around and, well, who really wants that? Hope you have a fantastic weekend, Haydee!
chin up. it's the weekend!!
Oh I feel for you... Good luck! Yes, keep your head up high slap some red lipstick on & no one will know. {shhhh I do}
My kids are obsessed with those carts at target. When we get one it's like winning the lottery for me. Mommas happy & kids are happy... So Target is even more magical.
You are a busy momma, wife & friend. Focus on the important stuff {family party} & then you will catch up one box at a time! Good luck!
Miss you!
xoxo,
Alexandra
Can I just say how much I appreciate your blog? It's nice to know I'm not the only one with a "Doozy of a Week". Your blog is still beautiful and witty, but you are real! Thank you!
Have a fun weekend & Happy Birthday to your family!
I also bumped into the christmas section which I found insulting on a 117 degree afternoon in Brazil!!!!
It sounds like you had a pretty eventful week... I know hoe tiring that can be. Enjoy the party and you weekend!
xo
Thank goodness for the weekend! Time to relax and focus on the upcoming week ahead that is sure to be better!
Hugs!
Group hug for sure! Goodness, I know what kind of scariness Target can bring out. That place is crazy and coming out of it with two kids and still be sane is a feat in and of itself. Happy birthday to all you cute family members!
Happy Birthday to Eric and P, have a great time at the party!! You are a trooper. xo
My life would be so dull w/o you and your blog. You crack me up!!!
Thanks goodness it's Friday, which really means nothing when you are a mom. Have a drink tonight (and I don't mean a drink of water) and relax with your luva luvah.
Smooches on a big ol' hug. Love ya!
Ease up on yourself and enjoy your weekend lady!
And thanks for the laugh this afternoon.
Ack! Hope things settle down for you!
