Did I tell you about the perfect house I found last week for our relocation move? It was in the school district I most prefer, the owners loved us, it had a separate office/library and its custom design was inspired by the Museum of Contemporary Art La Jolla. But most importantly, it was in our budget! But then ...
I get a call from the owners saying that they had a family friend who found out about their house and thus felt compelled to give it to them. I felt like I got punched in the stomach. I still have that gross feeling of having been dumped. You go about your day and almost forget it happened, but realize it did happen and you get that sinking feeling again.
So now the bar is set high and of course nothing's even coming close. Man, it started out so perfect but quickly turned into a flop. Much like this guys dive here–but it's still a beautiful shot. On that note, optimistic I will remain as the "refresh" button continues to be my best friend on several property sites until I find "the one." Wish me luck! Hope everyone has a fab weekend! Group hug:)

Yes, group hugs indeed! You deserve the best house. I know you'll get it... I feel it in my bones!
i know EXACTLY how you feel. i hate that feeling and am all too familiar with it too. good luck to you! something great is soon to surface, i just know it.
oh, no...wishing you the best of luck on really finding your dreams house to be here and stay!
Awhh love, I'm so sorry to hear. If it makes you feel any better it's been a tough week for me too...you will find the best place, good luck!
That's terrible!! We had some similar situations when we were looking for houses a few years ago. It feels like someone pulled the rug right out from under you, but I promise that it will get better...much better. I think everything always happens for a reason. I didn't know it back then, but when we lost our "dream house," we gained a fresh perspective and eventually found one in a much better place that we love.
Heartbreak! I'm so sorry, darling. Sending a big hug your way and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you find something even more amazing perfect. Good luck!
ahhh bumsie!! I so sorry your dream house got taken right out from front of you. It was just meant to be....think of it that way. You will find something! Good luck! Hugs back to you.
It's happened to me before. I hate that. It makes you not want to have that fun feeling of anticipation, but your fighting that.
I've been looking for a new place for the last couple of years here in San Diego and nothing has fit the bill. It's better to have a timeline. I think it makes it easier for stuff to fall into place.
Oh my! I hate feeling in-between... I am sorry to hear this, send you good vibes and prayers!
HUG*
Aw! That's awful. You'll find an even BETTER place. It'll put the first one to shame.
As my daughter would say "Oh Fiddlesticks!" Good luck with your search - the perfect one is still out there ;)
UGH! I am so sorry. Hang in there I'm sure that must be heartbreaking. We are a long way from buying a home but I can imagine it's not easy. Have a good weekend!
Good luck! It WILL happen and you will find the one.
Are you going to be renting out your existing home?????
moving?? where? would love to catch up.... I am going to try to make it on Monday but I don't know... my life has been in a bit of a stand still...
oxoxo!
Rental rejection is the worst! It definitely feels like you got dumped! My mister and I have definitely been there. It's heartbreaking, especially for people who care about their living space so much. I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, so just keep trying and you'll find something you love. Good luck!!
... just realized that you're probably not talking about renting, but buying! oops :)
aw, sorry to hear that. i LOVE that museum. it was across the street from my high school and is still my favorite building in la jolla. :)
aw, best of luck to you! i just know that a new, perfect place will arise... good luck!
I'm so sorry. When the same thing happened to us, my mother in law said "everything happens for a reason." I wanted to punch her at the time, but it turns out she was right :) We found a great house, great school, kids love it, and I'm actually so thankful we didn't get the first one. Enjoy your weekend and best of luck.
That man in the photograph is not going to belly flop, and neither will you. At the last moment, he will put his arms out in front of him, tuck his head a bit, and will dive beautifully in the water.
You guys will find a great place!
:)
xoxo
You know what that means right? Something even more fabulous and wonderful is going to come your way! Just remember, it didn't happen for a reason :-)
So sad, but I know you'll find the perfect place. Have a great weekend!
Good luck! I hope you find that perfect place. So sorry to find that someone snapped it up... sounds painful! I can't imagine the disappointment.
oh man, that sucks big time. sorry to hear you missed out on it, but i guess on the up side you have a really clear picture of what it is you want. that's a great thing to have.
noooooooo!!!! awful news! but maybe it wasnt mean to be then?
Uuugh! That just happened to both my sister and I last week, too! I know exactly how you feel. Something even better will come along. (Both my sister and I found better homes soon after.) Cheer up!
Bummer! I hope that everything works out. Take a little comfort in knowing that this stress is only temporary...
Ughhh I'm so sorry! But believe me, you'll find a perfect place. It's just the matter of time (: *hugs
xoxo
I am so sorry about that...I really hope you will find the one:)
Kisses and wish you a better afternoon:)
ugh! that's the worst when you're looking. but it's meant to be and you'll find something that fits you guys just right! good luck! xo
soo annoying!!! But think of it this way, you could get in there and it's haunted or your neighbors are really drug dealers?! I know it's cliche but it happened for a reason. The most perfect house will come around, I know it.
This happened to me twice while searching for apartments in NYC.. and I'm still waiting on my third apartment! Find out tomorrow. I'm terrified :(
Worst feeling ever! I had a similar experience, except we were told an owner would definitely except our offer, only he didn't because he was too deep underwater - no one else knew. I feel your pain! But don't worry, everything happens for a reason...
oh haydes:( i am so sorry! i am going to keep my fingers crossed for you... you'll find something more amazing... that was the universe's way of telling you you need to be somewhere else. i hate when it does that. know-it-all. xo
