Sunshine & Mini Drum Kits ...

You know how sometimes you have to use your imagination and just create your own fun? Well, I'm thinking about making large prints of these photos and sticking them up on all of our windows if the sun doesn't decide to come out soon. I hate to sound ungrateful, but honestly I get serious energy from the sun. Is there a sun dance I should know about?

Can't believe it's Friday. We are finally going to have a mellow weekend which will be nice. Although our three year old did just get a mini drum kit (not kidding, it's serious looking) that she's been endlessly practicing on. It's altogether the loudest and cutest thing you've ever seen (Thanks M. family!). Hope everyone has a great weekend! Group hug:)

i don't know about a sun dance but a one-way ticket to new york ought to do the trick! we've had nothing but sunshine — albeit with excessive humidity and 100+ degree temperatures! have a lovely weekend :)

It's been 100 degrees in Portland and I am loving it! Don't steal the sun back! :)

My daughter is only 2 and she adores drums, I can definitely picture her playing some rocking tunes. Happy weekend to you too (hugs).

Honest to god, I don't want to complain either, I know there are people suffering greatly but it is a fact that we are having the crappiest summer in YEARS. Sun is suppose to make an appearance tomorrow...we'll see.

Have a great weekend. xx

YES!! Mini-drum kit sounds so cool. I thinks it's so important that children are exposed to musical instruments at a young age. My childhood 80's dream was to be a drummer. I would have loved a kit.

My little brother had a drum kit when he was about four years old and made sooo much noise, but now he actually knows how to play! So cute.

Yay!!! I know it can be loud but there is something sooo fun about hearing your kids rock out in the next room. Lil' P will be rocking out punk rock versions of nursery songs in no time!

I love these shots...so Lost in Translation. I totally agree with you about Olivia being a robot/ridiculously robotic...her personality seems so derived and every move she makes/word she speaks is so planned. It must be hard to live like that. I pretty much say whatever I want, I can't relate at all!

have tried all kind of sun dances since I moved to seattle - they don't really work! :) but can't complain of the past couple of days!
