Seamless Room ...

First of all, any kitchen that has a row of windows like this above the sink is valuable in my book. How great is this seamless living room/kitchen? You kind of have to do a double take to actually realize there's a kitchen back there. I love that the hardwood floors run throughout both rooms (we did the same thing and don't regret it) and the makeshift island there is actually two steel drafting tables–so clever. And I love the twin ovens that open like french doors. Everything about this is outside the box thinking. My favorite kind:)

Want want want! Entertaining is so important to me and I love it when kitchens open up to a living room. It makes conversations and entertaining a lot more accessible.

A perfect place for entertaining. Love the industrial island. I think it may actually be an old drafting desk.

This IS a gorgeous room. I'm crazy about those windows. I want my kitchen to be lined with windows (and preferable with a great oceanside view :). And those wood floors are stunning, too!

Twin ovens? I think this room might be heaven! I couldn't believe there was a kitchen hidden back there. Everything goes together almost effortlessly.

I love an open floor plan! I love the windows. I love the industrial island... Using the drafting tables is a great idea.
Having 2 ovens would be nice, but I'd prefer them to have windows. (I also don't like the finish on these guys... too 70's yuck for me.) :)

without the upper cabinets it feels so much more open. the windows don't hurt either!
