Husband + Wife Team ...

Loving these photos from husband/wife team Williams + Hirakawa. I think working with your significant other is both risky and admirable. But I think the latter prevails when you've got as much talent as these two.

Eric and I worked pretty closely when he was editor over at Skateboarding and I was doing ad sales for the magazine. We were a bit removed, but would still have to cross paths on various work issues (no pun intended). I think we did a pretty good job at putting business first. In fact, no one even knew we were even dating until we were actually engaged. We were pretty stealth.

But what about you? Could you work with your significant other?

I wish! Although, I think it would be pretty tough...maybe if we started our own business?? Hey! A girl can dream :)

I dream of owning a business with John someday, but I know it isn't always easy. My old boss in San Francisco, Suzanne Tucker, owns the company with her husband, Tim Marks, and they do a beautiful job of running a business hand in hand. It's a fine balance!

My husband and I met at work and dated pretty much in secret for about 2 years...our close co-worker friends knew but they never spread the word. I am sure more people knew about us that we thought but it was our little secret and it was great fun. We made a huge effort to keep work and our love life separate. We don't work together now and I often miss having him around. Secret office romances are the best! :)

The photos are stunning!

I worked with my hubby for about 10 years. It was actually nice. You really have to enjoy each other's company for it to work.

I second the "if we owned our own business" thought... I have suffered through a couple dating at work disasters and now must admit I SO appreciate life with a man which is totally separate from work...
and these images are lovely! I think photographer couples work well together- 2 creative minds are better than 1 :)

aww I love this post! I met my significant other at work. We work for a large company, and our paths seem to cross quite a bit. We are on the same floor and although the day to day isn't constant interaction, its fun to be at the office together!
