PUBLIC Love ...

Not only did I love the bike, but the basket on the back too.

You can fill it with your goods ...

And just carry it right on into your house. Love that.

So I was flipping through the new Vanity Fair (you know what I'm talking about;) and I came across this awesome orange bike from a company called PUBLIC. I love it when I run into a company that I end up enjoying well beyond just their product. Although, they don't consider themselves a "company" since they don't care to make bikes faster or fancier, but rather they "design bikes to help make city life a little simpler and a little more fun." Don't you love that? Then it got more interesting as I read that the founder of PUBLIC is also the founder of DWR, Rob Forbes–who knew?! PUBLIC definitely passes the unofficial Happenstance "M.A.V." (Message, Aesthetic, Vibe) test. They even tell you to stop by their offices if you're in the SF area. Who does that anymore?

I told my husband I want a bike with a basket on it. I think I'll have to show him this one.

And I also want her legs. And shoes.

I so needed this when I was making an almost daily trip to the grocery because I just couldn't carry enough back to my apartment. Hello bicycle love!

I have a bike very similar to that, only it's black and has a wicker basket mounted on the front handle bars. It's by Electra and it's called the Amsterdam. :) I don't ride it nearly enough.

I want one. No, no. I NEED one. Especially since it has that rad basket. I want to be one of those women who rides bikes around. I need a small town without many hills.

And the invitation? Who do they think they are? (Besides awesome, of course.)
