Bang Dilemma ...

Now that my hair dries straight and frizz-free I've been obsessed with getting bangs. But I have this rule that I cannot do anything for at least one month so as to allow enough time for the novelty to wear off. I'm coming up on the half way mark and I'm still obsessing. Right now my hair is pretty much all one length with some layers and to about the middle of my back. If I get enough guts I'll do a before and after photo for you. Ugh, you'd think I was trying to solve world peace!

No dilemma - just do it! No doubt you will rock it and if you don't it'll grow, start off with eye skimming length, if you're happy go shorter, if not it'll grow out quick and you can sweep it to the side.

I spent 5 years agonising over doing it, finally did and have never looked back.

I heart bangs. Mine are a pain, because I have to flat iron them constantly, but no regrets. Best decision I've ever made . . . as far as not very important things go. haha! Do it.

Go ahead! I got bangs a while back, they are a little high maintenance, but that was because my natural hair texture is wavy. I'm sure you will look beautiful!

That's the beauty of hair though, it always grows back. If you're thinking this hard about it, just do it :)

Do it! I got bangs two years ago and loved it... and I'm in the process of growing it out - the reverse of you!

I'm currently in the same dilemma. To chop or not to chop? I also did the Brazilian blow-out recently and now bangs seem more possible. You should post a "before" picture and get some reader votes on the matter :)

do it! at my last cut while my stylist was doing my norm, long straight but with some layers around my face for the possibility of waves she pause..."oh..um" what? i asked? "well there is something i would love to do but i know you like your hair long" oh my god - just do it i have been waiting for my whole life for a stylist who looked at me and said "i want to do this..." i got bangs - long, full, straight out of dazed and confused bangs - and i loooove them!!!!

I'm going to be honest with you: if you cut bangs, make sure you get the right type. Once you have them, they're not easy to get rid of. Yes, you technically just let your hair grow, but there's always some really awkward phase in there. When I was in college, I let my bangs grow out and not having them for some time made me really appreciate having them. If you're tempted to do it, go for it, but definitely talk to your hair stylist first.

just don't cut them yourself, like yours truly!

hahah, for some reason chopping bangs does feel akin to chopping off a limb.. BUT, my advice is DO IT! I chopped bangs a few years ago (with much trepidation and anxiety- I couldn't watch!) But now I will always have bangs, it's like automatic style, LOVE them still. I thought about growing them out about 6 months ago and ugh, it was gross (how did I ever not have bangs?).

Good luck! I'd love to see b/a pics :)

so, you LOVE your new straight frizz free hair? Where did you get it done? I've been wanting to do it since Marisa was doing it back in the TW days! I was always so jealous...I didn't dry mine today and I've got frizzy curls...the girls at work didn't even know I had curly hair! :)
