Project Frame Wall ...

So my frame wall project ... it's coming along nicely. The goal is to incorporate family photos with the kid's artwork and other artworks–much like this Lonny spread above. I love it! I just got a lobster and a camel framed compliments of my 4-year-old and the blow-ups of family photos are trickling in. I'm pretty excited! But then when I didn't think I could get any more excited Katie posted about these and I had a serendipitous moment of feeling like everything was coming full circle. These pretty Kate Spade prints (so happy one of them is a Caitlin McGauley) will be gracing the frame wall as well. Can't wait to show you pics when it's done.

This wall is amazing. I think my favorite thing about doing a frame wall is having a story or meaning for each thing that's up there.

I can't wait to see what you do, Haydee!

I can't wait to see it! How exciting! Weird but true: last night I had a dream I was hanging pictures in my living room. I know, the irony , right?

I am so into framed wall art...it always looks so amazing. I started this on my wall leading upstairs but I really need to add to it, looks a little sparse!

I'm currently filling my own walls with frames as well, and it's so much fun! It's so personal and tells such a story about you as an individual. Good luck with it! Can't wait to see! :)

I love frame walls (didn't know they were called that, though, just learned something new - thanks), and I've always wanted to have one, but don't know how to start. Can you share some tips? Do you gather all the pictures beforehand and plan out the layout, or do you let it grow organically? If it's organic, where do you begin?
