Jackie's Camera ...

This photo of Jackie is inspiring me to break out my camera more often this summer. Or maybe I should say, not forget it as often. She looks so patriotic against the white cushions and blue water, doesn't she? I wonder what she took a photo of.

Do you see her Kelly bag in the bottom, left corner there?

National Treasures ...

Jackie walking in Manhattan.

Grammy's 1975.
(L-R) Bowie, Garfunkel, Simon, Ono, and Lennon.

I had no idea this photo of Jackie, which I love so much, was taken by the paparazzi. I'm not sure what I thought really, but if you'd asked me before I might've guessed it was a lifestyle shot by Peter Beard or something. But not some paparazzi! The man behind this photo is Ron Galella and there's a new documentary out about his life as a paparazzi called "Smash His Camera." The bummer is Galella has about 3 million photos like this one from the Grammy's that are just as amazing. Can you truly admire the work of the paparazzi? I think Roger Ebert says it best ... "He is a viper, a parasite, a stalker, a vermin. He is also, I have decided, a national treasure." Read more here.
