Katrina from Kat’s Cradle was so nice to extend the Kreativ Blogger Award to me yesterday! I’ve seen these things floating around the ‘net so it’s fun to actually have one land here at ol’ Happenstance. So the deal is I share 7 interesting things about me and then award 7 bloggers the award as well. So, here goes …
1. I love the beach ... As soon as my feet touch the warm sand I feel like I’m at home. Maybe it’s because I’m a Pisces? I also love to find traces of sand in our house during the summer because it means we had a fun family day☺
2. When I worked on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills for Georges Marciano often times he would stop by the store and park his beautiful Bentley right out front. So when the meter was up I would sometimes be asked to go fill it up again. As soon as I would do this Japanese tourists would come out of nowhere and start snapping my picture because they thought it was mine! So somewhere in the world there are vacation photos of me looking confused and apologetic trying to explain that I was not the owner. So Liz Lemon!
3. I love yoga ... I do Bikram yoga as often as possible. It’s the one form of indoor exercise that has not bored me after all these years. I love it!
4. Coffee & Tea ... Most days I start my day with a cup of coffee and end it with a cup of tea
5. I got a call one day at work from Colin Greenwood, bassist for Radiohead, and I thought it was my boyfriend (at that time) playing a joke on me! I was doing marketing & PR for a bag company at the time and he was calling personally to thank me for some travel bags I had just sent the band via their publicist. Crazy, right? I actually stayed in touch with he and his lovely wife Molly for a bit and I even got the occasional postcard from tour. I have them framed at home☺
6. I’m currently reading The Snowball about Warren Buffet. Not that I’m super interested in stocks, but people who are as successful as he and who have maintained success for as long as he has interest me. It’s one thing to get to the top, it’s clearly another to stay there. I can tell you he adores cheeseburgers. So far, so good!
