Keeping in the spirit of all the swimming that's been happening this summer between swim classes and the Olympics I thought I'd share these great photos of the Bosphorus Cross-Continental swim in Turkey that was shot by Andres Gonzalez.
This annual contest draws over 1,000 participants from 42 countries. There is great range in variety and age of the participants ranging from politicians, artists, and former Olympians, to 'bad-ass big Russian swimmers.' Which is why I especially like that the 2nd place winner was a 14 year old girl. So awesome.
And speaking of the Olympics ... you're watching right? Probably got your fill over the weekend? Seen enough of Ryan Lochte? (Didn't think so;). And after watching all of the women's gymnastics I think I've figured out my outfit for halloween. A ton of these, one of these, and finish it off with one of these instead of donning a leotard all night. Right?! Click here for more photos of the Bosphorus Cross-Continental.

Whoa! That's amazing! And I love that a fourteen year old girl won second. So inspiring!
I'm eating up the Olympics so bad this year!
haha! I will throw a Halloween party just to see you wear that costume!

I posted the most delicious photo of RL on pinterest and I can't stop drooling! My son is obsessed with the women's gymnastics. He watched last night and we dvr'd it because he cracked us up saying, "WHOA. WOW!! GIRL" over and over again during the horse and uneven bar routines!
Yup, officially hooked on the Olympics over here. Those photos are stunning and the 14 y/o winning second is beyond comprehension. Wow! You know what else caught my eye? Those homes along the water!
Hope your week is off to a great start.
amazingly enough I have too much going on and have not been watching the olympics ;( but Lochte? of course I've seen him a lot. =)
Can't get enough of the olympics! And the fact that Lochte beat Phelps! :D
The top photo is just fantastic. I love seeing all those people looking like little dots across the sea. What stamina it must take to do something like that!
