Guest Post ... Ana of Grown-Up Shoes

Hello there, Happenstance readers! Ana here from Grown-up Shoes excited to share a little spring mood board with you. As I’m sure is true of your city, springtime here in Austin is absolute magic. The lilac scented air, soft grass and birdsong all conspire to make you feel absolutely adventurous. A bike ride? Why not! A swimming hole? We’re jumping in! This season I’m trading in my typical vintage sundresses for tomboy picks with feminine flair (tennis shoes with unexpected polka dots, jeans with floral prints). Everything I put on I want to be able to hop, skip and jump in--the better for hula hooping, margarita sipping and swimming in the moonlight. For the foreseeable future, I’m all about perfectly tousled hair, delicate golden rings, pretty prints, feminine details and tomboy charm.

Floral jeans / Keds for Madewell / Chloe bikini / Essie nail polish / Alphabet charms /Threadbare rings / Messy hair Florals from left to right: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4

I’d love to know: what has you in the mood for spring?

Oooh, lovely! I really like the floral prints and the light gold. Your description of Spring in Austin sounds completely refreshing. I'm in San Antonio, but I guess I need to make a quick trip to Austin to jump in a swimming hole!

Love this spring mood board. All the picks are fun and playful, which is what spring should be all about. Ana's personal description of spring in Austin sounds idyllic.

What spring without floral print! The floral jeans is a big yes. I would team that with some plain top. Or discounted designer dresses with polka doted shoes will also do the trick.
