The Ebb & Flow of Life ...

Thus becomes the ebb and flow of blogging. For me anyway. As many of you know I am a wife and SAHM of two little ones ages five and three. After coming back from our wonderful trip last week and settling back into life (after finally unpacking and recovering from major jet lag) it hit me. I'm going to have to start cutting back on blogging everyday if I want to retain this recharged feeling. Between the fast growth of TPS (thank you for the amazing support!), posting here everyday, and splitting my undivided attention between our two little roommates 24/7, things were getting ... a little insane. There was absolutely no time for "me." And all you mama bears out there know that if we're no good, we're good to no one. So my decision is to cut back on the blogging everyday. Not altogether mind you! This blog was, after all, conceived as a creative outlet for me that still provides tremendously. So I repeat, I will be posting often just not everyday. And of course I'll be tweeting away on Twitter as usual, so be sure to join me there too if you don't already.

So now you get why it's taken me so long to post photos of my trip to Paris. Those are still coming I promise. Just more like molasses than lighting speed. I'm going to embrace this molasses pace actually. Starting with making these cookies today with the kids since we're on spring break. Been thinking about 'em all weekend. And now the time has come:) See you soon!

You're honesty is always so appreciated. I'm newly wed, planning our first baby in a year or so, and your insight is like a glimpse into what's to come. :-) Hope you keep that rested feeling going!

Totally feel ya! Blogging is a great creative outlet. Who said everyday is required? We'll be here and will be smitten with every post we see.

i totally understand (and relate). i made the decision a while back (actually, right after a nice trip) to cut back- to post every other day instead of daily. sometimes less... on busy weeks, and it's made a huge difference.

look forward to seeing the pictures!!

I understand completely. Everything piling on can be very overwhelming. But you're right, if you're not feeling well or connecting then everyone around you suffers. I've been having that feeling lately like something has to give bc I can't continue at this pace and still have time for everything and myself.

Post whenever you feel so inclined and when you have time...we'll be here waiting! x

A belated welcome back! And i totally get the whole cutting back on the blogging - with everything else in one's life it can become just another thing that needs doing - so posting often rather than everyday makes perfect sense. Enjoy the molasses pace, Annie x
