Hello Happenstance readers!
Ana from Blog Milk here. It is lovely to be guest posting here today. I've known Haydee and this lovely space for a long time and I'm thrilled to be able to share something inspired by Haydee's Parisian getaway.
I happen to be found of cooking and eating (emphasis on the eating part). Spring is one of my favorite seasons because my food planning starts to get a lot more interesting and fun. This recipe is something I like to make when I host guests. It is simple, quick and provides instant gratification. It pairs well with (cheap) wine but I also give it to my daughter, Emma, sans the alcoholic beverage.
The recipe is originally from Nigella and she uses a little bit of Marsala wine to sweeten the pears, I usually cut out that step and tone down the honey because I get ripe pears that don't really need much tweaking. Download the recipe here. I hope you like it!
