Guest Post ... Ana of Blog Milk

Hello Happenstance readers!

Ana from Blog Milk here. It is lovely to be guest posting here today. I've known Haydee and this lovely space for a long time and I'm thrilled to be able to share something inspired by Haydee's Parisian getaway.

honeypears

I happen to be found of cooking and eating (emphasis on the eating part). Spring is one of my favorite seasons because my food planning starts to get a lot more interesting and fun. This recipe is something I like to make when I host guests. It is simple, quick and provides instant gratification. It pairs well with (cheap) wine but I also give it to my daughter, Emma, sans the alcoholic beverage.

serve

enjoy

The recipe is originally from Nigella and she uses a little bit of Marsala wine to sweeten the pears, I usually cut out that step and tone down the honey because I get ripe pears that don't really need much tweaking. Download the recipe here. I hope you like it!

Ah, looks so delicious! I really love everything about this post - the layout, the photography, the handwritten font (or is that really handwritten?), and, of course, the recipe. Thank you, Ana...and Haydee!
