Good Monday To You ...

Good Monday party people. First, I apologize for not having a post on Friday. I really intended to do one but the day got away from me. Forgive?

Oh my gosh you guys, I was so, so sad to hear about Whitney! It goes without saying that she was a huge talent, but I realized it even more when every single song they played throughout the weekend was such a hit! I remember tying a bow in my hair with a scarf after seeing her in the "How Will I Know" video. I definitely got teary this weekend listening to all of her amazing songs. She will be immensely missed. My heart and prayers go out to her family.

With such heavy hearts, I thought LL Cool J did a great job with his Grammy's opener. Did you watch? Jennifer Hudson's tribute was so touching. And it was really great to hear Adele's post surgery voice sounding amazing. I was absolutely elated that she won all six categories she was nominated for. I don't know about you, but I was relieved and happy that grace and glamour won over shock (Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj). Not that those ladies aren't talented, but talent wrapped up in shock is actually getting tired. Our world needs more grace and glamour. No more shock please.

So with that, here's to a good week with some grace and glamour!

Amen, sister! Shock needs to go away. I hate it. Glamour and grace? Bring it on!

I freakin loved Whitney. Every song she sang was a favorite of mine.

I so agree with you. A friend told me over skype and I couldn't believe it. As to Nicki Minaj I just found the whole thing ridiculous. One thing is art and another one need of attention. I turned the tele off when she perform, not catholic but it was kind of too much.

When I found out about Whitney Houston's death late Saturday afternoon, I really had no words. I thought: Gosh, not another one. Not another talent taken too soon.
I agree, Jennifer Hudson's performance was powerful and Adele was amazing. These women are bringing it back Whitney style - to stand on a stage and just sing with no tricks.
Happy Monday to you too, H!

I came here knowing Whitney would be first on your list. So sad, she was incredible in her day and J. Hudson nailed it, what a fabulous tribute.

Agreed, LL Cool J in general did a great job and the only time I turned the channel was during the crazy N. Minaj performance, I couldn't take it. No more shock please, I'm sooo sick of it. Yes to grace and glamour!!! Congrats Adele!!
