Fall Dinner ...

No this isn't a photo from last Thanksgiving. It's from this past Friday night's prime rib dinner at my mom and dad's house. I had to share 'cause not only was it delicious, but it was such a great way to ring in the fall season. As you can see my mom is totally into fall and had the colors down for the evening. And all of the chatter, laughter, and occasional distressed child made me realize that the holidays are pretty much here. Are you preparing already? I know I've already started scouting halloween costumes for the kids. I've even been taking mental note on Christmas gifts this year. Wow, it's here and I love it! Hope everyone has a great week.

I love how your parents make you guys coming over a special occasion. I can tell where your creative/loving/caring side comes from. That roast looks amazing!

I so wish my parents lived close. We used to have HUGE Sunday dinners and I loved them.

Looks like you had a great time and what a wonderful way to ring in fall.

Have a beautiful week friend filled with sunshine & cheer!

It's never too early to start thinking about Holiday gifts! It was so cold in Portland yesterday, I made a fire and I gotta admit, it felt pretty cozy - I may finally be ready for fall!

Yes, please and THANK YOU MOM!! Oh my goodness, prime rib! Yum! Love the color match up! I can't wait for the holidays. Actually, us Long Island Jews are ringing in the new year on Wed night with lots of Pot Roast and kugels! Can't wait!

i just ate dinner with my brother and sisters at my family's house the other day and it was the first time in a long time that all four of us were all there at once. as you get older, things that used to be everyday activities become so much more sacred.

What an incredible looking dinner! I feel like it's so rare we get to sit down and have nice formal dinner with family or friends. And I don't even mean super formal -- I just mean one that doesn't involve a television on in the background. And the colors are so wonderfully autumn!
