It's 5pm Somewhere ...

This photo reminded me of the potted lemon trees we saw last weekend at Home Depot. I really wanted to get one. I had never really entertained the idea of having a fruit tree in our yard until that moment. And now, I can't stop thinking about it. Maybe it's the great summer weather we're having? Or maybe it was the lemons that Eric's grandparents brought over on the 4th of July from their own tree? Regardless, there's just something so peaceful about the idea of having a fruit tree in the yard. Kind of like the feeling I got when I saw this photo by Jake Stangel.

Any fun plans this weekend? Going to see a couple of good friends tomorrow which I'm excited about. Outside of that we're going to be pretty uneventful this weekend which is just as well since I'm still recuperating from Monday's festivities. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Group hug:)

I totally agree. I hope I have fruit trees in my yard some day, and I hope I have a yard someday. Happy Friday!

This photo is so sweet and summery, from the oranges to her lovely skirt.

I am STILL recovering from the epic eat out of July 4th. My body hasn't been the same, ha!

A little blog friend advice: get two lemon trees. They cross pollinate and you'll get bigger + better lemons. I think it makes them a little sweeter, too. <3

Fruit trees! Not sure if you've seen A Single Man, but Julianne Moore's character (Charlie) has the most gorgeous fruit trees in her yard. They feel so West Coast in the most glamorous way.
