Eric shared this story with me earlier this week when we both learned of the shocking news of Andy Irons passing away. This is precisely what Andy was about, and why he made such an impact on the surfing world, and why he will be missed the world over. Rest in peace Andy Irons.
Hope everyone has a full and loving weekend. Group hug.

RIP Andy Irons. I was so shocked when I heard the news earlier this week, too - so, so tragic. Did you see the video of Andy Irons' "I surf because"? It's so heartachingly beautiful.
Anyway, have a great weekend, Haydee!
I am so sad too... I can not stop thinking of Lyndie. My prayers have been flowing all week for her and her sweet little boy in her tummy. tears.
A champion's heart for sure. This is incredibly sad. Much love to his family.
Isn't it the weirdest thing, I can't seem to get it out of my mind? Although my husband and I have both work or currently work in the surf industry, we didn't know him personally, but I feel so sad for the community's loss. I wasn't even really a fan of his, but I hate to think of him alone in Dallas. I also hate to think of Lyndie and remembering how I felt at at 8 months pregnant or however far along she is. Just sad. Nice post.
R.I.P. Andy Irons. This photos is amazing and such a great representation of his talent and drive to win. My heart is still heavy, I pray for his family and I pray double for Lyndie and that baby.
so sad.
Great tribute.
Beautiful post. His death is so very sad.
Have a beautiful weekend with your wonderful family, Haydee.
