Ack! Did I tell you that we're hosting Thanksgiving at our house this year? I'm two parts excited to one part nervous. We bought our 13 lb. turkey yesterday along with ingredients for pumpkin pies and
turkey-hand cookies (
P & K's contribution) and I have to say it was fun! Definitely got me in the mood to hunker down and attack the rest of my lists. Today I will be squaring away other side dishes and designating serving ware to each. Will be a busy next few days, but nothing that a little holiday eggnog and Christmas music can't help:)
Did you have a good weekend? The photo above is from our post tea stroll at the
Rose Garden Tea Room this past Saturday at the
Huntington Library in San Marino. This is just a glimpse of how astonishingly beautiful the grounds are. And yes, I live in Southern California and I wear Ugg boots. C'mon it was
very cold and rainy that day.
Hope everyone has a great week!

I know! I can't believe it's Thanksgiving already! I love the Huntington Library! :) It's nice to spend the day walking around in there, never been to the tea room, though! Those umbrellas are so adorable (and I own a pair of Uggs to weather the rain here too :)
Uggs are perfectly acceptable! And seriously, you are going to have the most fabulous Thanksgiving! So stylish and loving I bet!

Siri: Thank you!!! Totally going to utilize your expertise.
Ana: No, I didn't cut my hair (sorry?) it's just in an updo.
I had Thanksgiving last year for 20 people. I was nervous too, but it ended up being amazing. Everyone ended up bringing something and then everyone helped clean up. Have a great time, it's always a great feeling to know you don't have to drive anywhere after you eat too:)

It looks like the Huntington was fun even in the rain (how could rain not be fun with those umbrellas?). Your Thanksgiving will be fabulous, I know it. I wish I could come help you cook for it.
