Weekend Rewind (Palm Springs Edition) ...

Let's rewind a few months first ... "Palm Springs in September? Perfect, the weather will be great!" Fast forward to now and little did we know this would be one of the most blazing, hot weekends of the year! But we made the trek anyway as we were attending Eric's high school reunion but more important it was our first overnighter together without kids in four years! So without further adieu, our PS weekend ...

1. Being the rebels that we are, we forewent pre-reunion festivities to have our own romantic start to the evening at the Viceroy. Traces of Kelly Wearstler style and glamour everywhere! And I love how if you blink you literally miss the entire hotel–we did, we had to make a U. Our server Dan was the most gracious and the crab cakes were so, so good. Cannot wait to go back and stay a bit longer.

2. As I was studying our bottle of S.Pellegrino I noticed that the pattern looked oddly familiar on the label and then I realized "hello!" it's a Missoni "clothed" edition bottle. Would you find anything else at the Viceroy?

3. Here's Eric looking awesomely annoyed with two of his five sisters Christiane (L) and Elizabeth (R). The reunion was a joint one between Christiane and Eric's graduating classes and with Elizabeth coming out too, it turned into a family affair. Super fun, lots of laughs.

4. My favorite way to cap an evening? His and hers Ben & Jerry's at 11:30pm at night. It was the best, especially since it was about 90 degrees out still! It's all about hi-low people. Start out at the Viceroy and end it at Ben & Jerry's at the mall across the street from the hotel. Fab.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I can't believe how hot it was! I'm glad I didn't get more burnt that I did. And Haydee, I love these photos! It's only 7:30am and I already I want to be eating ice cream by the pool...

I love Palm Springs...whether it was a couples getaway or Spring Break with the kids, it's one of my favorite go to places! There's something about those mountains so close, it feels like you can reach out and touch them, I'll take that blue sky and palm trees anytime too!
The Viceroy? Chic. Cheers!

You are so beautiful! And I love how you started the date and ended it. Perfect bookends.

And that Pellegrino bottle is way too high class. In a good way.
