Colossal Inspiration ...

Where's Jodie? This tanker is colossal. You couldn't pay me to even dinghy up to the thing.

Have I told you about my dear friend/Maid of Honor at my wedding, Jodie? To say that she's the adventurous type would be grossly understated as you can see from the photo above. This was taken last weekend as she practiced for an amazing paddle she will be attempting this month. Jodie is training for a history-making solo 39.8 mile paddle to raise money for breast cancer research and awareness on March 28th. Jodie could also make history with this paddle in that she would be the first woman to even attempt this Catalina to Dana Point, Ca. paddle. Jodie's main goal is to raise $50,000 for breast cancer research and awareness. If you want to pledge visit here and if you want to simply wish her luck, give moral support and see other amazing photos visit her inspirational blog Paddle With Purpose and say "hello!'' Just don't mention giant squid.

Did I mention she's pretty good at surfing? Jodie was one of the first women to be towed into this wave in Tahiti's Teahupoo. Taught her everything I know ... totally kidding! Again, you couldn't pay me enough.
