Happy Birthday Mr. Bowie ...

Happy Birthday David Bowie! I like you very much, always have. The last Bowie tune that popped up on the i-Pod was "Suffragette City" which is one of my favorites. Turns out this song was heavily influenced by Little Richard and bears the lyrical reference to A Clockwork Orange. Sounds about right. Any Bowie favorites?

P.S. This post is dedicated to my friend Julia who has great musical taste and individual style!

oh and by the way... that pic is from a photoshoot for tommy hilfiger that he did with his ridiculously amazingly gorgeous wife (speaking of the 90s again!) and you'll just get goosebumps when you see the whole thing and why he's smiling:

I LOVE Bowie pre-80's, Space Oddity and Ziggy Stardust eras. My favorite songs are Wild Eyed Boy from Freecloud, Starman, Life on Mara, and The Man Who Sold the World! I just made a Bowie post a couple of days ago too so I was excited to see this, I actually wasn't aware that his birthday was coming up...

I was just listening to David Bowie in the car earlier today. What a legend he has made for himself.

I LOVE David Bowie. Love him. Want to name a dog after him. He is amazing. "Up the Hill Backwards" is one of my favorite songs of his and often an unknown one. Definitely worth checking it out!

I just discovered your blog and am very happy about it! Just added you to my blog reading list and look forward to following it. Clearly a love for Bowie means fabulous taste!
