My Winners ...

Okay, so here's what I think happened. The Academy forgot to state in the host contract that they wanted James "NYU student/author/painter" Franco to host the awards with Anne Hathaway. Instead they got James "stoner comedy" Franco. It's all in the details Academy. Just like RDJ told Jude Law during their presentation–which I thought was pretty funny. I do have to give a shout out to Anne for her solo performance in which she called out Hugh Jackman. Girl can sing and those shoes! But honestly, I still don't know what they were trying to accomplish with these two as hosts. The best duet suggestion I've heard so far for next year was from Julia ... Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey. Yes.

My favorite wins of the evening were Michelle Williams' dress and The King's Speech. I was so pleased to see that Michelle was lured away from her GG daisy madness and into this amazing Chanel dress last night. And I was sooo happy that The King's Speech won best picture and Colin Firth won best actor! Especially since Eric and I had just seen it on Saturday afternoon. Such a great film on many levels. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Oh dear, I'd forgotten the horrors of that resort wear dress until you brought it up. I agree, the Chanel redeemed her quite nicely.
I love that Colin Firth won, and I loved his speech! That British wit just kills me.

I have to see the King's Speech now!! It looked so good! Michelle did look beautiful in her gown!! Stunning! Yeah I agree with you on James Franco. Did he decide he was too tired or something & flake out? Anne Hatheaway hosted the oscars not him. lol. =P

I LOVED The King's Speech and was so thrilled it received so much recognition. And Anne...do you think she'd let me be her friend? I simply adore her. The girl definitely has a wonderful voice.

That daisy dress still makes me shudder! Yikes! She definitely redeemed herself at the oscars and looked fantastic.

And Alec Baldwin + Tina Fey next year? Yes please!

Let's give Anne credit for basically carrying the ENTIRE show on her twenty something shoulders. Because I can't really name anyone in their right mind who would want that.

Am I the only one that doesn't find JF really hot? I just don't see it. Happy about Natalie's win, but she lost me with her acceptance speech thanking everyone that she ever came across in her life.

I'm so bitter because I watched the ENTIRE thing thinking it would somehow get better....eek!

I couldn't agree more! You'd think that Franco would have put his best foot forward considering all the future possibilities for his career in the room. I thought he may have forgotten his glasses or something. I'm so naive! Michelle did look great bit I think Mila & Gwyneth totally rocked it.

No, my adorable husband did not watch the Oscar's, that's me above! It's my first time lurking out of the shadows of this place, I love it here. Just wanted to make that clear! Cheers!

Michelle looked beautiful and I also was SOOOO happy about the King's Speech. Everytime they showed a clip it reminded me of how awesome and inspiring the movie was. And when the screenplay writer won and accepted, I felt so happy. What an incredible man.

Anne was a little too much and James a little too little. Alec & Tina would rock!!
