Did you know
Earth Hour is this Saturday, 3/26 at 8:30pm? The idea is to turn off all of your lights for one hour at 8:30pm as a stand against climate change. This movement began in 2007 in Sydney, Australia with 2.2 million people participating. It's grown each year since with hundreds of millions of participants in 2009, and a record breaking 128 countries and territories joining in 2010. This will be our second year participating. Last year Eric and I turned off all the lights, lit candles and had a glass of wine. It was nice to unplug actually while being a part of such a great movement.
You in?
How amazing is this photo by the way? I couldn't have found a better one to represent Earth Hour. Photographer
Lauren Ross captured this stunningly, beautiful image while on her successful trek to summit Mount Kilimanjaro. I could stare at it all day, it's unreal.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Group hug:)
I'm totally in. And it would be nice to have these Earth Hours more than once a year. I think I'll light a few candles and daydream for a bit.
