One For Your List ...

I love this illustrated look for Giambattista Valli by David Downton. I don't know if it's because I think I know this girl or I just want her hair. This sketch and many other inspiring ones will be released in a book by Downton next month called Masters of Fashion Illustration. This will for sure look good on your coffee table. Add it to your wish list this holiday. Speaking of which, have you actually started one yet? I found myself starting my wish list a couple of weeks ago and can't decide if it's smart or "wishful" thinking. Either way it's fun.

  1. I don't have anything officially written down yet, but my mother already agreed to get me a pair of new boots and a cute hat. I just have to find the boots I want. And I love this drawing -- I always wanted hair like that.

  4. What a gorgeous illustration. I love looking at fashion sketches, but some really blow me away! I think I'll add that coffee table book to my wish list. I haven't started one yet...I'm still trying to think about how I feel about the idea of handing out your wishlist to your loved ones...I kind of like the element of surprise and when they get you things they think you'll like (but as a result, I have accumulated a lot of crap that I feel bad throwing away cuz it was a gift...)
Whew, I rambled. Have a good Tuesday! :)

  9. I adore this. And why is it that I always requet side swept bangs like this illustration, and yet I leave the hair salon with 2 measly wisps??
