One Year Ago ...

It was one year ago this Sunday that I published my first post on Happenstance. Not exactly sure what this photo of Mick on his 21st birthday has to do with our one year anniversary other than it's awesome. Mick happens to be toasting his birthday with a fan (who seems to be all of eight years old) with a glass of orange juice. I will be celebrating with a glass of wine.

I can't even begin to explain the creative and social satisfaction this blog has brought to me. Never in a million years did I imagine my rants and raves would've lasted this long! Nor did I imagine I'd publish over 500 posts and have over 1,000 followers/subscribers! Never! So thank you to my devoted readers from South Korea, to Ireland and Australia, to as local as L.A. and Orange County and many places around the globe. You are the fuel to this blog. Without you it really means me just humoring myself. And Eric making up different identities so I'd get some comments every now and again.

Lastly, I have made some unbelievable friendships that I absolutely treasure–you girls know who you are. You inspire and make me laugh everyday. Okay, enough of the sap fest. What's up for the weekend? I'll be unpacking (my middle name these days) and hosting our first dinner party for my dad's birthday tomorrow. Wish me luck!

    I can't believe it's only been a year. I feel like I've known you so much longer. Just knowing you were here in San Diego when I first moved out made this a better place right away. Happy blog anniversary, with many more to come, I'm sure. And have a fantastic weekend doing all you must do -- I'm glad there will be some fun in between the unpacking.
