At first I thought ... oh, cool, stylish couple with cute shoes. But then I got a better look at her shoes and 'bout fell out of my seat. These L.L. Bean hunting boots were a big deal to me growing up because I could never convince my parents to buy me a pair. Maybe because we lived in perpetually sunny, southern California? Or maybe I shouldn't have been begging in shorts, a t-shirt and sandals. But that's beside the point, I needed these boots! I finally got a pair at a yard sale, but it just wasn't the same. These 10 inchers are for sure going to be purchased in the near future. Cannot wait!P.S. There are a few other things going on my fall must have list. Hop on over to Pretty Mommy and check them out!

My mom & I got those when I was in high school... I don't know what happened to mine, but my mom still has hers & wears them in the rain {still}. Too cute! I believe I call them Ducks. I could be wrong... ?
ReplyDeleteYou would look pretty cute in them!!!!! When we get our first rain fall go & get them... :)

Alexandra
those boots are on my list too!
ReplyDeleteI also saw these and I immediately thought I WISH I COULD HAVE THEM... But can you picture a crazy woman walking around the streets of Brazil on a 94 degree morning wearing those? - That would be me!
ReplyDeleteMy! sometimes I wished we could see some really cold days so that I could wear some proper shoes.
♥
LOVE LL Bean Boots - I want a pair of them for the upcoming sloshy weather!

those are fantastic! i was the same way when i was little, always wanting things only necessary in much colder/wetter climates, like rain boots...now, as an adult, i bought myself rain i very rarely wear :)
ReplyDeletethey do look cool..i used to lurve the dudes in high school who would wear these!
ReplyDeleteI know, what's up with this crappy southern CA weather where we can't wear duck boots?! :)
ReplyDeleteWhatevs, I say rock 'em no matter the temp! They're super cute!
I love them. And they'd be perfectly cute in NYC. Actually, I want the whole outfit -- it's just so easy.
ReplyDeletelovelovelove & wantwantwant! funny... i did the same thing when i saw that couple on sartorialist the other day. i didn't even notice the shoes because i was too busy noticing what a cool looking couple they were!
ReplyDeleteCompletely charming.
ReplyDeleteI grew up in New England...growing up I hated having to wear boots like this in the winter, I thought they were so uncool. Now, naturally, that I live in Southern California I love them as well.
