I Like Vintage (again) ...

I love, love, love, love, love this vintage adidas t-shirt. It's that perfectly faded blue and fits and falls so perfectly on her. There was a time when I used to love thrift shopping. It was fun, cheap and so exciting when you'd find that "perfect piece." One time I reluctantly accompanied my mom shopping and went next door into this thrift shop where I found a mint condition, vintage Oleg Cassini yellow trench coat that fit me perfectly! I was ecstatic! But then at some point I did a 180 and had no desire to thrift shop whatsoever. Suddenly I was allergic to anything vintage–it was strange. I think I've stayed away long enough that now I'm inspired again to do the thrift. Especially when I see tee's like this.

  6. I love it!! I used to have a whole slew of T shirts from my mom from the 70s and I have no idea what has become of them. I love the feel, smell and texture of the washed out letters on them!

  10. this is a great shirt, you said it perfectly. i hope you find joy in thrifting again! it's like a treasure hunt, but it's also easy to get burned out when treasures are hard to find.

  11. Love the shirt! I have a problem going to thrift stores, I just don't have a good eye for things, so when I have friends like Julia come to town, I take full advantage of their skills! :)

  14. I find thrift shopping a bit overwhelming, but I really want to keep trying. I don't know if some of my brother's old stuff counts as vintage -- I just loved his well-worn t-shirts and pajama pants. They were so comfy.

  15. I love to thrift shop. It's time consuming though(trying to find that great treasure) and my 15 month old isn't very tolerant of such long shopping expeditions...Anyway, i love the colour of the tee, and the fabric looks light and soft so it's perfect for the summer. I am also loving the slightly tousled bun that's pulled up:).

  20. I can so relate. I went through a phase where I was only shopping at thrift stores and so then poof! I burnt out and refused to go thrifting for awhile. I've slowly eased my way back into it but still not as hardcore as I used to be.
